ACT UP - Call the White House
$95.00
ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power), was founded in NYC in 1987 as a political action group in response to the AIDS crisis. The group was co-founded by Larry Kramer who was tirelessly present in advocating for the group and confronting public officials.
This invitation was designed by artist Donald Moffett as a plea to elected officials to take action to find a treatment for AIDS.
The message is direct and poignant.
This card also served as an invitation to the Act Up Auction for Action, featuring over 300 artists. Measures approx. 6” x 11”
Invite has a center fold and 3 small thumbtack holes. Discoloration on the backside.
A rare piece of history from an important organization.
