McCafferty was active from the 1970s onwards, initially working in video art. Not much is known about him.
This work, published in 1974, channels the cool, detached tone of other LA artists working at this time, like Baldessari and Ruscha. The flipbook consists of 25 cards, showing a muscular man’s arm flexing. The multiple is signed and numbered by McCafferty.
Extremely rare and relatively unknown. Only 200 copies were produced.
