This is one helluva catalogue. First and foremost, the cover was designed by Ed Ruscha. Essentially, this is a Ruscha multiple - only 2500 copies were produced.

The front and back covers are made from sandpaper, bound with metal nuts and bolts, with with pink flocked lettering on the front cover and a pink silk ribbon laid inside. This is one of Ruscha’s more elaborate book designs.

This catalogue accompanied Billy Al Bengston’s show at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Lytton Hall, running November 26, 1968 - January 12, 1969.
