A fantastic and early poster for Claes Oldenburg at Dwan Gallery, an important gallery that brought Minimal and Conceptual art to LA. The gallery also became known for their well-designed and elaborate invitations and posters, some of which are recognized as conceptual works in their own rite.

This early Oldenburg poster was produced for a show held October 1 - 26, 1963.

This work marks the first appearance of Oldenburg's mouse motif, which would frequently re-appear in sculptures, installations, and even architectural plans.

The poster pristine, with fold marks as it was issued folded. Rare in any condition, but especially this nice. Measures 26” x 22”.
