We love Lawrence Weiner here at Wrong Answer. And this is one of the better pieces I’ve come across.

This announcement poster accompanied a 1974 show at Max Protetch Gallery in Washington, DC. The poster itself was designed by Weiner and was intended to be a work in and of itself.

Interestingly, the poster does not have any information about the dates or location or even galley for the show.

Max Protetch Gallery was an important champion of conceptual art in the 1970s.

This poster is a great example of Weiner’s text-based work and is exceedingly rare. So rare that the Max Protetch retrospective publication does not include images of this poster.

Measures 11×16”.

Poster is in great condition, showing fold marks as it was issued folded.
