An invite for a significant Pictures Generation show in which the artists were invited to select a series of found images to be displayed as their contribution.

This reframed the curatorial lens and formalized the artists’ appropriation of imagery. Lawler presented a selection of photographs of sculptures, Kruger presented a series of magazine covers exploring cultural sterotypes, and Prince produced an ‘edition’ of advertisements presenting situations that have striking similarity.

A strikingly well designed and simple invite for a significant show in the history of Pictures Generation and appropriation.
