Olele Olala by Kishin Shinoyama

Olele Olala by Kishin Shinoyama
For fans of O Rio De Janeiro, this is the source.
Published in Japan in 1971, 15 years prior to Weber’s book; this book is a beautiful depiction of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival. The resemblance to Weber’s is striking throughout right down to some very specific shots.
Weber aside, this is a beautiful and ecstatic depiction of Brazil in the 1970s. A joy to look through. It was published as a special edition of Japanese Playboy and was sponsored by Hitachi to promote their new electric razor. So, there are shots of people shaving on the beach, in between parties. And, lots of nudity.
I first encountered this book at Available Works through Henry Leutwyler, who sold me his copy as he had a duplicate. Now I have a duplicate and am offering this for sale.
The book is in great condition, with some creasing and sunning to the spine.
