A first edition with an excellent association.

This copy is inscribed by Ginsberg to his dear friend Ed White. The inscription reads:

“Allen Ginsberg for Ed White / Fruits of Colorado Labor / 1981 / December 8”

Ed White was Kerouac’s college buddy and met Ginsberg through Kerouac. White was also friends with Neal Cassady who he would eventually introduce to the rest of his friend group who would become known as The Beats.

White was also featured in Kerouac’s landmark novel On the Road under the name Tim Gray.

An outstanding inscription from one of the most significant post-war American voices to a close friend and important figure in the history of the Beat movement.
