This photobook was initially released as an exhibition catalogue for the retrospective "Ed Templeton - The Essential Disturbance" at Paris' Palais de Tokyo in 2002.
The book presents an excellent overview of Templeton’s work and skate and youth culture in the early 2000s in LA. Photography documenting the aggressive drug and booze-fueled joie de vivre of the early-2000s was popularized by Ryan McGinley and Tim Barber along with VICE.
Lots of nudity and cigarettes in this one.
