A very rare and early Studio 54 invitation from the club’s first location, before it closed due to tax evasion charges brought against Schrager and Rubell.

Studio 54 produced elaborate invitations for large events, such as NYE, club anniversaries, Halloween, etc.

This invite for NYE 1979 is particularly notable as it represents the shift into a new decade.

The invite itself is printed on thick, glossy gold paper and folds open to reveal the event details. Measures approx. 20” x 13” unfolded.

An incredible piece of NYC nightlife history. And, wildly rare. I’ve never encountered another before and I can’t find any record of any others being brought to market.

The invite was carefully stored by the original owner and includes its original envelope, which are very rarely seen.
