An exceptional Hockney catalog in that it contains 2 color reproductions of his works produced on a Canon color laser-copier, printed on quality paper. These two works are portraits; “Ian” and “Mum.”

Hockney has always been interested in using current technology in his work. So, this 1989 catalog includes reproductions of 4 drawings sent to the curators via fax machine ahead of the show.

The two sheets are loosely inserted into the catalog along with a short explanation of the production process: "the enclosed portrait... was made on a Canon color laser-copies; i.e. it is a direct reproduction without camera or film."

A lovely and unusual Hockney catalog that is tough to find with the two loose portraits included. Note some minor wear to the white cover.
