One of my all-time favorite Pettibon images.

This flyer is for a 1982 gig at On Broadway with Meat Puppets, Descendents, and more. A great line-up.

Pettibon’s early career was spent producing images for promotional material for Black Flag - the images are some of his best work.

“It’s more of a general audience when it goes on a telephone pole. It’s not something that you can buy in a store or see on TV. You see it at a glance and you can’t switch it off.”
